Stink Bugs
Stink Bugs are recognizable by their distinct, shield-shaped bodies and mottled brownish-grey color. During the spring and summer, they are agricultural pests, but as temperatures drop in the fall, they swarm the sunny sides of houses, looking for cracks and crevices to crawl into to survive the winter.
Once inside, they often hide in wall voids and attics, only to emerge into living spaces on warm winter days or in early spring. If disturbed or squashed, they release a pungent, cilantro-like odor as a defense mechanism, making them thoroughly unpleasant to remove.
The key to managing stink bugs is proactive prevention. Eastline Pest Management offers specialized overwintering treatments in the late summer and early fall to repel stink bugs before they have a chance to breach your home's exterior.
